Federal Construction Projects Excellence

Build and Installation of 32,000-Gallon Water Tank

Location: Twin Creek, Great Smoky Mountains, Gatlinburg, Tennessee

Agency: National Park Service, Department of Interior

Role: Prime Contractor

Scope of Work:

  • Built a new 32,000-gallon water storage tank and concrete foundation
  • Installed underground DIP water distribution system
  • Completed site clearing and grading on mountain slopes
  • Constructed pile and lag retaining wall
  • Built a 0.75-mile access drive from the bridge to the tank location
  • Demolished existing tank and installed new perimeter fencing
  • Connected all lines to the potable distribution system.

Access Road Repairs

Location: Allegheny River Locks and Dam 9, Templeton, Pennsylvania

Agency: US Army Corps of Engineers

Role: Prime Contractor

Scope of Work:

  • Excavated and demolished damaged retaining wall
  • Installed new retaining structure and riprap shoulder
  • Repaired trail surfaces along the riverside
  • Installed approximately 500 miles of guiderail
  • Set up soil erosion and sediment control systems.

Replacement of Sanitary Sewage System

Location: Point Marion Lock and Dam, Monongahela River, Pennsylvania

Agency: US Army Corps of Engineers

Role: Prime Contractor

Scope of Work:

  • Removed and replaced underground sanitary tank systems
  • Installed new precast sewage holding tank, pump station, valve vault, and manhole
  • Designed and built plumbing and pump control system
  • Installed a perimeter chain-link fence around the new system.

Oak Pump Station Replacement & Collection System Rehabilitation

Location: Berlin Lake Mill Creek Recreation Area, Mahoning County, Ohio

Agency: US Army Corps of Engineers

Role: Prime Contractor

Scope of Work:

  • Built a new pump station with prepackaged submersible duplex pumps
  • Installed new driveway and security fencing
  • Completed 8" and 6" CIPP lining work (~1500 miles)
  • Repaired and rehabilitated collection systems throughout the campsite
  • Demolished existing pump station, including asbestos- and lead-containing pipes
